What is it?
A tool that will allow researchers and students to explore large corpora of books and texts semantically and non-linearly by linking ontologies and themes. We use state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and language models to analyze texts and extract themes.
The problem
You have a topic that you want to delve into. You have a set of large books.- You want find whether the answer is in the book!
- Even if you find the answer, what background information do you need? Which book has it?
- What relationships exist between the treatment of the topic in those books?
BookMapp is THE solution
Well, worry not! We have a solution. We will help you navigate the texts in the books and find the answer. BookMapp creates a Knowledge Graph of the texts and themes in the books. Pull a thread from the graph and unravel the weave.
Set of legal documents? Internal organisation documentation? Research papers? We digest them all.
- Upload your texts and let our machine digest them, into a multidimensional weave
- Query in your own language, see the results with context and links
- Identify a candidate thread.
- PULL, and keep pulling
Set of legal documents? Internal organisation documentation? Research papers?
We digest them all.
How it Works
Sematic and proximity based relevance search
Upload your texts
Upload multiple books or sections of books/papers/notes. Allow us to digest. It takes just a few minutes.
Start by asking your question
Bootstrap your exploration by a query related to your topic and the text most likely to contain the best answer. You will be presented with the sections of text closest in meaning to your topic.
Find rich connections across texts
Click on "MORE LIKE THIS" on any of the cards to get the threads of relatedness across the texts. Repeat ad infinitum, to delve deeper, or just scroll back up to start another thread from the middle.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is just another PDF Search tool?
The essence of BookMapp is NOT search or query. The real value is realized when you have more than one book and want to explore. BookMapp can help you search across books semantically and non-linearly.
How much does it cost?
The majority of the costs are one time and are associated with the pre processing step right at the beginning. The estimate is about 500-800 credits per printed page of a typical book. For the rest, the costs are way less than a cent per event.
Does it work with mathematics and images?
The tool only works with text at the moment. LaTeX typeset mathematics should also work. If the images have captions and/or alt text, we can use that too.
Can I find the cited text in the uploaded book?
We return the page number of the cited text, in addition to the previous and the next paragraphs for additional context.
